What is meant by it?

Troika consulting is an agile liberating structure that can help an individual in seeking knowledge about things that he did not know. Any individual can come up and ask the other person for some insight on the issues that they had been facing for a long time, and the wisdom that they receive from the other person will help them in finally getting a solution to their problem. Therefore, it is peer-to-peer coaching that can help individuals in revealing patterns with the advice and support of their friends or colleagues.

How is it done?

Firstly, you will have to ask the group what kind of help they need and what challenges they have been facing. Each group can have three members. Only chairs would be provided to each group. In every segment, one participant will be the client, whereas the other two members will be the consultants. Every participant will be given an equal opportunity to coach and receive advice.

Each participant will share his challenge with the other two group members in 1-2 minutes. The consultants can ask any further questions from the participant for another 1-2 minutes. Then, the client will turn around, and the consultants will produce their suggestions and ideas for 4-5 minutes. After this, the client will turn around and let the consultants know what he or she valued the most about this experience for 1-2 minutes.

 

What is its purpose?

It helps people in being able to ask other people for advice and also builds trust among people. Together they can find a solution, which strengthens their problem-solving skills. Troika consulting can also improve your listening and consulting capabilities.

 

What are its Trips and Traps?

Make sure that you form groups of participants with different roles. Every participant should offer complete support and think about the challenge analytically to give important advice to the client. If one round of coaching does not satisfy the client, then do another segment. Participants should take risks while keeping this thing in their mind that they should not offend their client.
